-Delighted congratulations to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, dear friend and Dean Emeritus of the Geneva School of Diplomacy, now elected President of Kazakhstan.
Tokayev is a safe pair of hands: very intelligent, modest, he will advance the interests — stable as well as pluralist — of Kazakhstan, all the while honouring and consolidating the historic, extraordinary legacy of Dr. Nazarbayev. Then Dr. Tokayev will return to his beloved academia!
When your presidential term is done — and well and steadily it will be accomplished — the doors of the Geneva School of Diplomacy will be wide open, Kassym, to warmly welcome you back.
