GSD is located in the very heart of the diplomatic world. Our connections with surrounding international organisations, missions and NGO’s, the small, interactive classes with highly distinguished faculty members and the many lectures hosted by high profile guest speakers, give our students the ability to create a network that can be life lasting and life changing. Furthermore, our BA and Master students have to fulfil a mandatory internship during their studies.
GSD has a multicultural and multidisciplinary academic community that blends intellectual and cultural stimulation and offers the perfect environment for people who want to study abroad. Our purpose is to prepare future world leaders for their roles on the world stage to advance peace and human rights.
Attracting students from all over the world, GSD is committed to offering excellent education to a small number of highly qualified students. Many GSD Alumni benefited greatly from their time at GSD and in Geneva, being it to start their career in diplomacy and create a network or to enhance their knowledge and skills to better handle the global issues and challenges they face everyday.

Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (BA-IR)

Master of International Relations (MIR)

Master of International Relations (MIR)

Executive Master of International Relations (EMIR)

A couple of years as an ICRC delegate gave me some field experience, but I still lack formal training in international relations. As my unit focuses on strategic crises, does early warning, crisis management support and organizes exercises for the government, I need to have a better understanding of the international aspect of such crises. Personally, I was always interested in a cross-cultural exchange of views and ideas and it will be a pleasure to do this in the context of this Programme.
