Joining hands to improve Lesvos tourism

Joining hands to improve Lesvos tourism

Geneva School of Diplomacy, as a part of its commitment to humanitarianism and its active involvement in the mammoth refugee crisis emanating from the Middle East, initiated, and joined hands recently together with the Lesvos Mayor’s office. GSD and faculty member Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul Enein initiated and organized the visit of H.E. Ahmed Aljarwan (President of the Arab parliament & renowned entrepreneur) with an aim to create a combined task force with officers from the island of Lesvos and from Arab countries. The visit was also aimed at studying the investment opportunities in the island to promote tourism- a major source of income to the island dwellers. Such an effort is of great prominence at the moment, as tensions in the island has been soaring between the government and the people of Lesvos. Geneva school of Diplomacy looks at this as an opportunity to give back something in return for the island’s contribution  towards humanity.
