New faculty member per September 2018: Jennifer Clickner

GSD is honored to welcome Professor Jennifer Clickner as a new faculty member from the September 2018 intake. Professor Clickner will be part of our Masters curriculum, contributing her expertise to the workshop series ‘ Essential skills for Future Diplomats’, by teaching ‘Strategic Communications’. Ms. Jennifer Clickner has worked in communications for over two decades, first as a senior broadcaster on the BBC World Service affiliate in Geneva and now as a trainer in communication based in Geneva. As a media trainer for the past 8 years, she has coached hundreds of UN delegates, NATO representatives, diplomats, ministry of defense and foreign policy advisers from over 40 countries, as well as communication professionals from various NGOs and the commercial sector. Ms. Clickner also trains Strategic Communication in Leadership at the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP), and lectures in Cross-Cultural Communication at Webster University. She has also served as a culture commissioner for the cantonal government of Geneva (SCC) for a decade, reviewing and deciding arts funding for music. Her theater training in London was with the founder of Movement Psychology, Yat Malmgren. It is this unique and world-renowned training in stage presence and theater arts which she also draws on to assess presentation skills, build confidence and help clients deal successfully with being in the spotlight. As a voice over artist, Ms Clickner has performed in an extensive range of documentary films and commercials, as well as being a singer on stage. Voice over clients include Nespresso, Tissot, Procter and Gamble, Easyjet, Benetton, Hugo Boss, Swiss television and the UN; Musical performances include Flamenco Sin Fronteras. Her mastery of vocal techniques and speaking with impact combined with years of experience performing on stage and broadcasting live provide her clients with a unique range of skills to enhance their presence and effectiveness and when speaking in public or to the media.   Clickner-Ms-Jennifer-Clickner_new faculty Ms. Jennifer Clickner
