Geneva, 12 January 2017 Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul-Enein appointed Honorary Vice-Dean of the Geneva School of Diplomacy  It is with pleasure that GSD announces its Honorary Vice-Dean for 2017. The Honorary Vice-Dean of the Geneva School of Diplomacy, 2017, will be Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul-Enein. Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul-Enein is Professor of International Security and Disarmament at GSD. He is also Senior Fellow for Emerging Security Challenges at the Geneva Center for Security Policy; Adjunct Professor for Disarmament and Regional and International Security at the American University in Cairo; Visiting Professor at the University of East Anglia, University of Stirling and University Loughborough, UK, and Academic Advisor and Lecturer at the NATO Defense Academy in Rome. Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul-Enein published and lectured widely in both English and Arabic on International and Regional Security, Cyber-Security, as well as on Conflict Resolution and a Middle East Nuclear Free Zone. Seconded to League of Arab States (LAS) as Ambassador & Permanent Representative to the UN & other international organisations in Geneva, after holding the post of Ambassador and Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt for Disarmament, International Security and Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy. He has been Political Advisor to two Former Foreign Ministers of Egypt and has served as Diplomat in Missions in London, Geneva and Moscow. Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul-Enein’s term of office as GSD Honorary Vice-Dean began on 1 January 2017 and will finish on 31 December 2017.
