GSD’s Got Talent Supports the Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project

GSD’s Got Talent Supports the Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project

With just three weeks to go until our traditional talent show – GSD’s Got Talent – it seems appropriate to shine the light on the cause our students will be performing and raising funds for, under the auspices of the GSD Humanitarian Initiative Programme (HIP).

Our cause of choice, the Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project, aims to empower children from India’s lowest socioeconomic class to break the cycle of generational poverty through education, leadership, and compassion. The school supports hundreds of children, from their first day of school to their first day of work.

Going beyond basic literacy, students learn to be global citizens and leaders who change the world with integrity, compassion, and focus. They are given the tools and support to escape poverty, going on to become entrepreneurs, authors, engineers, and employees at multinational corporations.

They will make more in the first five years of their careers than their parents will in a lifetime, giving back 50-80% of their salaries to their families, communities and other children in need – creating a ripple effect that impacts thousands.

Come and join us on November 13th for GSD’s Got Talent, an evening of fun and fundraising, and help us break through the glass ceiling of the poor, enabling them to enter the unchartered and unhindered territory for generations to come!
