Conferral Ceremony in honour of H.E. Filipe Nyusi

On Tuesday 27 February 2018, The Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations (GSD) honoured H.E. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique by conferring him a Doctor of International Relations, honoris causa.  The Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations decided to honour H.E. Filipe Nyusi for, from his young teenage years, his brave contribution to the independence struggle of Mozambique; for his valued contribution, as a military and political activist, to that historic, liberating transition; for his steadfast work, studies and political prominence on behalf of the newly independent state; and, in the service of peace and national harmony, for his farsighted statesmanship in reaching out generously to opponents, in order to courageously strengthen democracy and development in Mozambique.
