Dr. Joseph Marques

Dr. Joseph Marques is a scholar and practitioner specialising in global governance, international political economy, and business diplomacy. With an academic career spanning multiple institutions, he combines university teaching and research with extensive experience in international private banking and wealth management. He has held senior roles in leading financial institutions in Geneva, São Paulo, and New York, bringing a distinctive practitioner perspective to the study of global markets and diplomacy.

His research focuses on the political economy of Brazil and Lusophone Africa, the role of emerging financial institutions, and the evolving relationship between diplomacy and business strategy.
