GSD President meets UNSG

GSD President Dr. Colum de Sales Murphy visited the Greek Island of Lesvos during the month of June. There he met with the Island’s mayor: MR. Spyros Galinos. With the tragic influx to Lesvos of many thousands of refugees fleeing war and destitution in Syria and further afield, Mayor Galinos has led the compassionate and welcoming response of the extraordinary people of Lesvos. During Dr. Murphy’s visit to Lesvos he also met with the United Nations Secretary-General (UNSG) Ban Ki-moon.
