The Geneva School of Diplomacy was honoured to see Dr Athar Sultan-Khan, Dean of the Geneva School of Diplomacy, deliver the keynote address at Leiden University’s MIRD Gala & Alumni Reconnect 2026, hosted at Leiden University – The Hague Campus.
His keynote address, titled “Art of Diplomacy in Conflict Resolution Today,” offered a reflective perspective on diplomacy shaped by more than four decades of experience within the United Nations system, including senior leadership and advisory roles in complex international conflict contexts.
The evening brought together students, alumni, academic leaders, and members of the wider international academic community to engage with the evolving challenges shaping international relations, diplomacy, and global governance.
Dr Sultan-Khan’s participation reflects the Geneva School of Diplomacy’s continued engagement with international academic dialogue and its active contribution to conversations shaping the future of diplomacy beyond Geneva.
