GSD Featured in UN Today Following Honorary Doctorate for Martin Chungong

The Geneva School of Diplomacy is proud to be featured in UN Today following the conferral of a Doctor of International Relations, honoris causa, upon Martin Chungong during the GSD Graduation Ceremony 2026.

The article highlights Mr Chungong’s more than three decades of service to parliamentary diplomacy and global governance. It reflects on his historic leadership of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as well as his work advancing gender equality, youth participation, democratic accountability and cooperation between parliaments and the United Nations system.

UN Today also presents GSD’s role in educating current and future diplomats, policymakers and international leaders, while recognising the School’s longstanding tradition of honouring distinguished figures whose work has strengthened diplomacy, peace and multilateral cooperation.

The feature marks an important moment of international visibility for GSD and reinforces the significance of recognising leadership founded on dialogue, inclusion and public service.
