About GSD
The Geneva School of Diplomacy (GSD) is a Swiss boutique academic institution specialised exclusively in international relations, diplomacy, and global affairs. Established in 2003, the School delivers academically rigorous and practice-oriented education across undergraduate and graduate studies, including our doctoral-level programme, as well as professional development and executive education.
GSD’s educational model is defined by a close integration of academic study and professional practice. Teaching is delivered by a faculty composed of experienced practitioners and scholars, including diplomats, ambassadors, and senior professionals from international organisations and United Nations bodies. This practitioner-led approach ensures that academic content is informed by real-world diplomatic, multilateral, and policy experience.
Through structured programmes, clearly defined learning outcomes, and a focused academic environment, GSD equips students and professionals with analytical capability, research competence, and applied skills relevant to careers in diplomacy, international organisations, public policy, and related fields.
