GSD was honored to host Dr. Burkhard Varnholt, DIR honoris causa, Chief Investment Officer at the Swiss Universal Bank, and Deputy Global Chief Investment Officer at Credit Suisse, Founder of Kids of Africa, an NGO which aims to help disadvantaged children access education and build a better future as part of it Emerging Issues Seminar series.
“Assessing the global economic & geopolitical outlook from a Chief Investment Officer‘s perspective” was one of the most compelling topics students have ever discussed with a guest speaker. Indeed, the lecture was impactful, well-informed, and profound.
It was also a great opportunity for our students to be confronted with the situation on the ground. Indeed, International Relations and Diplomacy are needed in every single field whether within International Organisations and NGOs or in the private sector.
