Studying at GSD

GSD Admissions

The Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations offers 2 intakes per year – September and February. Applicants may choose their preferred intake on their application form.

Our programme pages provide useful information on admissions requirements, how to prepare an application, and how we assist our applicant during this process. For non-EU applicants, we strongly recommend applying at least 6 months before the desired intake to allow sufficient time for the Swiss student visa process. Late applications may be considered on a case-to-case basis; please consult our Admissions Office for assessment.

For any questions regarding applications, visas and transfers, our admissions office can be reached directly via telephone (+41 22 300 33 77) or emailed at admissions@genevadiplomacy.com.

GSD Immigration Requirements

Once admitted, EU/EFTA citizens still need to apply for a residence permit to study in Switzerland. We therefore strongly advise these students to stay in contact with our Admissions Office, who can provide assistance with the residence permit application process.

Although GSD is committed to assisting students with immigration procedures and completion of their applications, please note that GSD has no legal capacity to intervene with the authorities. It is a student’s responsibility to fulfill the legal obligations in a timely manner in order to obtain the requisite immigration approval.

Note: Apply for a visa only after completing the enrolment procedure. Failing to do so may lead to the refusal of your visa from the immigration office.
