17 Goals To Transform Our World
With the new school year already seeming like a distant memory, it is time to glance into the near future at the exciting new things that lay ahead. Under the umbrella of the Humanitarian Initiative Program (HIP), a new road map will be used to guide us in our endeavours; the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals or SDG’s. Adopted by 193 countries and with 17 Global Goals and 13 years left to “end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all”, our work is cut out and the clock is ticking loudly!
The Geneva School of Diplomacy (GSD) is working devotedly to address each and every one of these goals through awareness and/or fundraising events. Last year, we brought clean water to the village of Tomondo in Zanzibar by supporting the Zanzibar Outreach Programme (ZOP) – addressing SDG number 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – ensuring access to clean water and sanitation for all.
