The Geneva School of Diplomacy is proud to share that faculty member Dr Jelena Aparac has been awarded the Best Scholarly Article of 2024 by the Business and Human Rights Journal, published by Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

The Geneva School of Diplomacy is proud to announce that Dr Jelena Aparac, faculty member at the Geneva School of Diplomacy, has received the Best Scholarly Article of 2024 award from the Business and Human Rights Journal, published by Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

Her article, “Private military and security companies as a legacy of war: Lessons learned from the former Yugoslavia,” was recognised by the journal’s Editorial Committee for its outstanding academic contribution to the field.

This distinction reflects the strength and international relevance of research conducted at the Geneva School of Diplomacy, particularly at the intersection of international law, human rights, conflict studies, and global security.
