The Geneva School of Diplomacy is pleased to host Session 232 at WSIS Forum 2026: Breaking Barriers: Pathways to Accelerate AI-Enabled Healthcare.
This interactive session will explore concrete strategies to accelerate the global scale-up of e-health and AI solutions by addressing regulatory, economic, and operational challenges. Despite the potential of digital health to improve system performance and expand access to quality care, innovators continue to face fragmented regulations, limited cross-border recognition, inconsistent reimbursement, and complex procurement.
Bringing together business associations, industry leaders, policymakers, diplomats, researchers, and international organisations, the session will discuss practical approaches for improving global market readiness and enabling equitable adoption of trustworthy digital health solutions.
The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Wallace S. Cheng and Dr. Rakesh Krishnan of the Geneva School of Diplomacy.
Speakers include H.E. Eng. Jamal bin Salim Alshanfari, Dr. Nikica Darabos, Ms. Larisa Bivolaru, Ms. Diana Meskendahl, Mr. Alexander Olbrechts, and Mr. Weibin Liu.
This session reflects GSD’s commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue at the intersection of diplomacy, technology, health, governance, and international cooperation.
