Biography
Mr. Gilles-Emmanuel Jacquet holds a Licence in Political Science from the University of Geneva and a Master’s degree in European Studies from the European Institute of the University of Geneva.
He began his professional career in 2006 as an intern within the Legal Protection Unit of the Central Asia, North Africa and Middle East Department at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva.
Mr. Jacquet subsequently worked for the French Ministry of Justice in 2008 and 2010, as well as for the Cooperation and Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Alliance Française of Chișinău in 2009.
From 2014 to 2019, he served as a reporter at the United Nations in Geneva for Pax Press Agency and also contributed to Sputnik News in 2017.
Since 2010, Mr. Jacquet has taught International Relations and related subjects at several private universities in Geneva, including the Geneva School of Diplomacy, Geneva Business School, International Management School Geneva, and UMEF, as well as internationally in Afghanistan, Algeria, Congo, Ivory Coast, and Niger.
Since 2018, he has served as analyst and treasurer at the Geneva International Peace Research Institute.
Mr. Jacquet is the author of several publications, including Histoire du conflit moldo-transnistrien (Éditions Connaissances et Savoirs, 2017). He has also been interviewed by numerous international media outlets, including Al-Shorouk, Al-Ain, Realitatea Plus, Russia Today France, and Fox News.
