Biography

Dr. Fernanda Salina is an international lawyer and conflict resolution practitioner based in Geneva. Her work focuses on empowering individuals and organisations in the prevention, management, and settlement of conflicts and disputes.

She brings more than twenty-five years of international academic and professional experience across the fields of Public International Law, International Negotiation, Mediation, and International Dispute Settlement. Throughout her career, she has studied, lived, and worked in Argentina, the United States, the Netherlands, Australia, and Switzerland.

Dr. Salina currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Geneva School of Diplomacy, where she teaches courses including Dispute Settlement and Conflict Resolution, The Practice of Mediation, The Law of Treaties, and Small States in International Law. She also supervises Master’s dissertations.

In addition to her academic work, she is a professional certified coach specialised in academic matters and an accredited mediator before both the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation and the Fédération Suisse des Associations de Médiation. She also serves as Ombudsman at two private institutions in Switzerland.

Her previous academic and research appointments include positions at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, EU Business School Geneva, EPFL, and the Australian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Queensland.

Dr. Salina regularly conducts training workshops, executive education sessions, and professional seminars on negotiation, mediation, communication, and conflict management for academic and institutional audiences in Switzerland and internationally.
