Mr. Gilles-Emmanuel Jacquet is Assistant Professor at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations. He is currently teaching World History and Research Methodology.
Education
Gilles-Emmanuel Jacquet holds Master degrees in Political Science from the University of Geneva and in European Studies from the European Institute of the University of Geneva.
Mr. Jacquet is specialized in History, International Relations and Geopolitics. His researches deal with armed conflicts, terrorism, religious and political radicalism, ethnolinguistic and cultural issues as well as the treatment of religious and ethnic minorities. The areas concerned by his researches are Eastern Europe, post-Soviet countries (Caucasian and Central Asian republics), Central Asia and the Middle East.Gilles-Emmanuel Jacquet holds Master degrees in Political Science from the University of Geneva and in European Studies from the European Institute of the University of Geneva.

Professional Experience
During his professional experience Mr. Jacquet worked as an intern for the legal unit of the North Africa, Middle-East and Central Asia Department of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva (where he was in charge with the drafting of various analyses dealing with the treatment of Lebanese refugees in Syria and with the treatment of ethnic and religious minorities in Central Asia – Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan).
In addition to that, he worked for the French Ministry of Justice, as well as the “Alliance Française de Moldavie” and the Cooperation and Cultural Services of the French Embassy in Moldova. He was involved in the field of academic cooperation with Moldovan universities (Universitatea Perspectiva, Free International University of Moldova, International Institute of Management “IMI-NOVA” and the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova) and participated to several conferences. He was also in charge of drafting various analyses dealing with the Moldovan and Transnistrian political contexts.
Furthermore, Mr. Jacquet has collaborated with various publications, online magazines and websites such as « Eyes on Europe », « Regard sur l’Est », « Moldavie.fr », « Stratpol » or « Realpolitik TV ». He has been invited to several radio programs dealing with Russian, Eastern European and Afghan issues.
Mr. Jacquet was a lecturer at the Balkan Peace Program 2014 (Balkan Institute, Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina) and besides teaching at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, he is giving lectures in other private universities in Geneva (UMEF, UWG), in Afghanistan (DIHE/UMEF) and in Algeria (ISTN). Mr. Jacquet is also a reporter for Pax Press Agency.
