Biography
Kassandra Fiore is a graduate of the Master of International Relations programme at the Geneva School of Diplomacy. Her professional background focuses on human rights, parliamentary affairs, international humanitarian law, democratic governance, and multilateral diplomacy.
She most recently served as a Policy Advisor within the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Government of Canada, where she worked on foreign policy coordination, international affairs, and strategic policy initiatives. Her work has focused on human rights protection, international cooperation, parliamentary engagement, and multilateral policy processes.
Prior to this role, Kassandra worked with several international organisations and institutions in Geneva, including the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, where she contributed to the Universal Periodic Review Branch and treaty mechanism processes. She also worked with the Inter-Parliamentary Union, supporting parliamentary initiatives related to international humanitarian law, statelessness, and human rights awareness-building.
Earlier in her career, she spent several years working within the Parliament of Canada, supporting the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee and contributing to parliamentary affairs, policy development, international engagement, and legislative coordination. Her experience included work on peacekeeping, international development, defence policy, and human rights initiatives.
Her professional interests include human rights diplomacy, democratic governance, conflict transformation, parliamentary affairs, and international cooperation.
