Biography
Juvenal Arcanjo Dengo is a graduate of the Executive Master of International Relations programme at the Geneva School of Diplomacy. His professional background focuses on labour policy, employment governance, international cooperation, and institutional development across Lusophone Africa.
He currently serves as ILO Director Country Office for PALOP, supporting the International Labour Organization’s engagement across Portuguese-speaking African countries. His work focuses on employment policy, labour market development, social dialogue, institutional partnerships, and international development cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
Prior to his current role, he served for more than eight years as General Director of the National Employment Institute (INEP) in Mozambique, where he oversaw national employment initiatives, workforce development programmes, and labour market policy implementation. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively on employment promotion, vocational integration, public sector coordination, and development-oriented policy initiatives.
His professional interests include labour governance, international development, South-South cooperation, employment policy, and multilateral collaboration in emerging economies.
