Project Ukraine
Supporting newly arrived Ukrainian refugees through emergency humanitarian relief and student-led action at the Polish-Ukrainian border.
In response to the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, the Geneva School of Diplomacy launched Project Ukraine to provide direct support to newly arrived refugees at the Polish-Ukrainian border.
Through fundraising efforts and student mobilisation, GSD supported emergency humanitarian assistance for displaced individuals and families fleeing the conflict. A group of GSD students travelled to the region to help distribute essential supplies, including clothing and food, to refugees in immediate need.
This initiative was carried out in collaboration with Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH), a respected Polish non-governmental organisation operating since 1992. PAH is known for its rapid emergency humanitarian response while also working toward long-term recovery, resilience, and crisis prevention.
Project Ukraine reflected GSD’s commitment to practical humanitarian engagement, solidarity, and empowering students to respond meaningfully to urgent global challenges.
