Biography
Amb. Dr. Walid Mahmoud Abdelnasser is a seasoned diplomat and academic with extensive experience in international relations, Middle Eastern affairs, and global diplomacy.
Over the course of his diplomatic career, he served as Egypt’s Ambassador to Japan and as Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
His professional experience includes senior leadership roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and diplomatic training and policy institutions.
Dr. Abdelnasser holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from The Graduate Institute in Geneva.
Alongside his diplomatic service, he has contributed extensively to academic research, teaching, and policy discourse through publications focused on diplomacy, international economic cooperation, multilateral affairs, and intercultural dialogue.
His academic and professional work bridges practical diplomacy with international policy analysis, offering expertise in global governance, international negotiations, and regional political affairs.
