Admissions Requirements

The Certificate is designed for early- to mid-career professionals, recent graduates, and individuals seeking foundational training in global affairs and diplomacy.

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Applicants without a degree may be admitted based on relevant professional experience and overall profile assessment

English language proficiency

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following (or equivalent):

  • IELTS 6.5
  • TOEFL iBT 90
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced
  • Duolingo English Test 115

Applicants who have completed prior studies fully in English may be eligible for a waiver, subject to assessment.

Tuition and Fees

  • Enrolment fee: CHF 500 (one-time)
  • Tuition fee (total): CHF 5,000
  • Advance tuition payment: CHF 5,000 (deposit, deductible from total tuition)

The advance tuition payment is deductible from the total tuition fee. Tuition fees cover academic instruction and programme delivery. Living expenses, travel, and personal costs are not included.

Progression Pathways

The Certificate is part of GSD’s stackable executive education pathway. Subject to academic approval, credits earned may be recognised toward:

  • Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS)
  • Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS)
  • Master of Advanced Studies (MAS)

This structure allows participants to progress step by step without restarting their academic pathway.
