The Geneva School of Diplomacy welcomed incoming students for its Spring Semester 2026 Induction Day, offering a comprehensive introduction to academic life, practical student support, and the international environment that defines the GSD experience.
On 30 January 2026, the Geneva School of Diplomacy welcomed incoming students for Spring Semester 2026 through a dedicated Induction Day designed to support a smooth transition into academic and student life in Geneva.
The full-day programme introduced students to the School’s academic environment, institutional culture, and practical aspects of living and studying in Switzerland, while highlighting the professional opportunities available through GSD’s location in the heart of International Geneva.
Sessions throughout the day included welcome remarks from institutional leadership, academic orientation, student life presentations, internship and career guidance, as well as practical briefings covering health insurance, Swiss taxation, residency essentials, and banking processes for students settling into life in Geneva.
The programme also created opportunities for students to connect with one another, meet members of the GSD community, and begin building relationships that would support their academic journey.
As part of the induction experience, students concluded the day with a visit to the Palais des Nations, reinforcing the School’s close connection to the international diplomatic ecosystem that makes Geneva a uniquely relevant environment for studying diplomacy and international relations.
