Biography

Dr. Olga V. Kadysheva is an economist and scholar of international migration with more than twenty years of academic and policy experience.

Holding a Candidate of Science in Economics degree, she has authored and co-authored more than thirty publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, policy reports, and book chapters. Her research focuses on international migration governance, human rights, and socio-economic development at local, national, regional, and global levels.

Since 2013, Dr. Kadysheva has collaborated with Global Migration Policy Associates (GMPA), becoming an Associate in 2015 and serving as Acting Secretary since 2018.

Her professional work includes contributions to research, advisory, and policy initiatives in partnership with international organisations including the International Labour Organization (ILO), African Union, IGAD, UNESCO, Caritas Europa, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

She has contributed to major publications and policy frameworks concerning urban migration governance, labour migration policy, migrant inclusion, and international migration management.

At the Geneva School of Diplomacy, Dr. Kadysheva teaches International Migration: Current Challenges and Policy Responses, bringing extensive policy expertise and field-based experience into the academic environment.
