Biography

Dr. Octavia Cerchez is a lecturer, researcher, author, and international policy adviser with more than twenty years of experience in international relations, economics, and law.

Throughout her career, she has served as negotiator and chairperson of various committees connected to the World Trade Organization, the United Nations, the European Union, and the World Customs Organization.

Dr. Cerchez also acted as adviser to the Romanian Government during the country’s accession process to the European Union, contributing expertise on international negotiations, governance, and European integration.

Her professional work includes leading international cooperation projects, providing consultancy services, and training government officials and private sector actors on the legal and economic dimensions of international policy negotiations and implementation.

In addition to her policy and advisory activities, Dr. Cerchez has extensive academic and research experience across institutions worldwide. She regularly contributes as lecturer, speaker, and conference moderator on topics related to international governance, trade, economics, and diplomacy.

She is the author of nine books and numerous scholarly articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals.

Dr. Cerchez lectures in English, French, Romanian, and occasionally Russian.
