Biography

Dr. Emel Zerrouk is a specialist in global environmental studies with a particular focus on water and land issues.

Throughout her career, she has worked with both public and private institutions on subjects including sustainable healthcare, energy conservation, climate change adaptation, and the implementation of sustainable development goals.

Dr. Zerrouk combines academic research with practical policy-oriented experience, approaching environmental and sustainability challenges through both rights-based and geopolitical perspectives.

Her research interests focus on the intersection of environmental governance, global development, resource management, and international policy frameworks related to sustainability and climate resilience.

As an educator, Dr. Zerrouk places strong emphasis on student engagement, critical thinking, and developing a sense of ownership over academic learning and research.
