Biography
H.E. Dr. Muktar Djumaliev is a graduate of the Doctor of International Relations programme at the Geneva School of Diplomacy. His distinguished diplomatic and governmental career spans international diplomacy, economic policy, trade relations, and multilateral cooperation.
Over the course of his career, he has represented the Kyrgyz Republic at the highest diplomatic levels, serving as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Ambassador to Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and representative to organisations including UNESCO, NATO, and the OPCW.
He also held senior governmental leadership positions within the Kyrgyz Republic, including First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, and senior advisory roles connected to economic and international affairs.
Alongside his diplomatic career, Dr. Djumaliev has worked on international economic cooperation, development, and trade policy initiatives, including consultancy work with the Asian Development Bank.
His professional expertise includes multilateral diplomacy, international economic relations, trade governance, foreign policy, and international institutional cooperation.
