Biography
Ambassador Jean-Daniel Ruch is a faculty member at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and a former Swiss diplomat with extensive experience in international diplomacy, mediation, and foreign policy.
Over the course of his diplomatic career, he served as Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia, Montenegro, and Israel, and held several senior roles within the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
Throughout his career, Ambassador Ruch has been closely involved in international negotiations, peacebuilding efforts, and multilateral diplomacy, particularly in regions affected by political instability and conflict. His expertise spans international relations, conflict resolution, geopolitical affairs, and diplomatic strategy.
As a member of the Advisory Council of the Geneva School of Diplomacy, Ambassador Ruch contributes senior diplomatic insight and international experience in support of the School’sacademic and institutional development.
At the Geneva School of Diplomacy, he contributes expertise in diplomacy, international security, peacebuilding, and geopolitical affairs.
