The Intersection of Philanthropy, Partnership Building, Geopolitics, and Gender

The Geneva School of Diplomacy welcomed Atalanti Moquette for a thought-provoking discussion on the intersection of philanthropy, strategic partnerships, geopolitics, and gender in shaping international cooperation and humanitarian action.

As global challenges grow increasingly interconnected, philanthropy and partnership-building have become important forces in shaping international responses to humanitarian, social, and geopolitical issues.

As part of the Geneva School of Diplomacy’s Emerging Issues & Persistent Challenges series, the Geneva School of Diplomacy hosted Atalanti Moquette for a timely discussion exploring how philanthropy, international collaboration, gender, and geopolitical realities intersect in today’s global landscape.

Drawing on her extensive experience in philanthropy, humanitarian engagement, and strategic partnerships, Ms Moquette examined the evolving role of philanthropic actors in addressing complex international challenges, the importance of cross-sector collaboration, and the ways in which gender perspectives shape global leadership and decision-making.

The session offered students, faculty, and attendees valuable insight into the growing influence of philanthropy as a catalyst for international cooperation, innovation, and social impact.
