Biography

Dr. Nikica Darabos brings more than a decade of international experience in health diplomacy and currently serves as a Diplomatic Representative to the World Health Organization (WHO).

His expertise spans humanitarian and public health crisis leadership, health policy, and multilateral coordination within complex international environments. Throughout his career, he has contributed to advancing global public health objectives during major health emergencies and crisis situations.

Dr. Darabos has played an active role in WHO European Union coordination efforts and supported the development of international resolutions aimed at easing political tensions while strengthening global health security and international cooperation.

As former EURO Regional Coordinator and Chair of the WHA77 Resolution on HEP DNH Consultation, he contributed to fostering cross-regional collaboration and improving preparedness frameworks for health emergencies linked to natural disasters and humanitarian crises.

His work reflects a strong commitment to international cooperation, trust-building, and the development of innovative cross-border public health solutions within multilateral governance structures.
