image for website 15th Anniversary of Advancing Peace and Human Rights 2018 was an important year for the Geneva School of Diplomacy (GSD): GSD marked its 15th anniversary. This coming March 22 2019 we will officially celebrate that anniversary with a gala evening on our beautiful campus at the Chateau de Penthes in Pregny, Geneva, Switzerland. In line with our humanitarian philosophy the evening will also be a fundraising event — raising funds to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), especially in regard to serving the planet, water and ensuring that fresh water reaches there in desperate need. The essence of what GSD is about is to advance understanding of the world around us — past, present and future — and to use that understanding to influence our world in a more peaceful, more just and more productive direction. On March 22 we will celebrate on 15th successful year in advancing precisely these goals. Some 96% of new businesses in Switzerland go bankrupt in the first five years. With its anniversary celebration GSD not only marks our steadfast loyalty to our ideals but also the building of successful business that also contributes strongly to humanitarian goals such as the SDGs. It is a remarkable achievement and, without complacency the GSD community well deserves to be proud of its achievements. GSD is also advancing in the creation of its new Center of Blue Diplomacy, to protect the world; water; our GSD Center of Digital Diplomacy, and our GSD Center of Silk Road Diplomacy. For our gala fundraising event, please give generously — every penny contributed is transparently reported as we reaching those in genuine need. The Geneva School of Diplomacy plans to last 500 years. It is well past the growing pains stage in achieving that exceptional, but, we believe, very do-able goal.
